Through the past 12 months, I have been listening to the Nightwish version anyway. This came out in 2001, so with its 21 years, it’s also no longer entirely young.

Beautiful power metal that I sang along to regularly! “Biiiirds like youuu fly straight to heaven, heaaaaveeeeen” ~.
58: Through The Fire And Flames (Slow Acoustic Cover) by Melodicka Bros
This was the second song I ever heard from Melodicka Bros. The original Dragonforce is fast — really fast. Have you ever tried to play Dragonforce songs in Dance Revolution or StepMania?
The two cover talents from Italy slowed it down a bit.

With Angelus again some slow folk metal from Germany. And with it really poetic lyrics — once again!

56: El Cantar De La Luna Oscura by Mägo De Oz
The Spanish folk metal band Mägo de Oz was introduced to me by my husband. That was already 15 years ago! And I still listen to them today.

I like Celtian quite a bit anyway — after all, the band has been in the Top 100 a few times. When I saw this official video for it one day, it positively surprised me what a beauty the vocalist of this band is. 🥰

51: Cloud Factory by Sonata Arctica
“Cloud Factory” is one of those catchy tunes. Once heard, I often had the melody stuck in my head for the rest of the day!
