In Kelowna, British Columbia, a man decided to take a stand.

The reason for his offense was simple: a child on his granddaughter’s elementary school sports team had a short haircut. Two of the kids, in fact. To his mind, they had to be transgender.

He responded to this, alongside the woman attending the event with him, by approaching a volunteer parent to demand proof that the girls were born with the correct genitalia.

The girls in question were not trans, they had pixie cuts for the sake of fashion. They were also 9 years old, one of them a week away from her 10th birthday. They didn’t know the man, but they were not likely to forget his face after the way he humiliated them in public.

In front of all of their friends, their teachers, their parents, and the entire crowd gathered to watch them have a fun day playing sports, the man demanded documents to prove that they were ‘real girls’.

Allegedly, the woman with him accused the girls’ parents of being groomers, genital mutilators, and child-molesters.
