Is it just me, or is anyone else sick to death of the absurd comparisons being made between Donald Trump and various and sundry mafia bosses?

Although I feel certain The Donald is flattered by this erroneous tough-guy analogy — in reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

But for years we’ve listened to pundits drone on about how Trump masterfully operates like a “mob boss.”

He thinks he’s basically The Godfather of the Republican party — he’s Don Vito Corleone in the flesh, drawn straight from the pages of Mario Puzo’s classic novel and onscreen trilogy.

We’re told Michael Cohen was Trump’s Tom Hagen — Corleone’s steadfast lawyer and consigliere.

In romanticizing all these characters they must have forgotten Michael Cohen turned on Trump — something Tom Hagen would never have done.

Others gushingly compare Trump to Tony Soprano, the fictional protagonist of the HBO series “The Sopranos.”

Trump only wishes he were Don Corleone or Tony Soprano.

The only similarity Donnie has to any “Don” is Donald Duck. If he’s like any character at all from The Godfather
