Can you have motivation without discipline? Or do you need discipline in order to be motivated? What’s the difference? All good questions and it is something I have been thinking about a lot.

We all want to feel motivated. We all understand that in order to have success we need to be disciplined. You might be wondering if there is a difference or will you be more successful if they are partnered.

We all want to start the new year ready to make some improvements in our lives. As we come to the end of one year, ready to start a new one, it might be time to find a way to make some new goals.

Maybe you want to get a better job, lose 30 pounds, exercise every day, and read one book per week. Most of us are so enthusiastic at the start of a new year.

You buy a gym membership, some new cross-training shoes, and join Amazon Prime because you know you’ll be ordering a lot of books and will take advantage of the free shipping.

Fast forward to early March, and you discover you’ve only read two books, haven’t gone to the gym in weeks, spent money on Amazon Prime and on your gym membership, and have gained exactly one pound…
