The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions
The American “Free Press” is so corrupt, it’s helping democracy die in a heap of bullshit
You can’t say it wasn’t a good idea. America, I mean. The American experiment of democracy. Government of the people, by the people and for the people, all that good stuff.
Who knew it would succumb to willingly re electing a guy who is a combo of Benedict Arnold, Al Capone, and the village idiot escapee from the mental ward?
You know what they say about good intentions.
Democracy depends on journalism, and the Founding Fathers knew it.
By journalism, I mean an honest search for the truth presented in a non-emotional, objective manner. American journalism rarely reaches that ideal. Instead, the Free Market Fairy has allowed spineless weenies and propaganda to flood the land to such a degree, that the American public just bit off its nose to spite its face.
Given that sad reality, I wanted to take a moment to remind people where the idea of a free press came from and why it’s vital to our very existence as a free people.
