The Summer Scaries

Not just for Sundays anymore

When we work in education

The countdown until the end of summer is on
We want to make the most of it and can dread the return

Because we want to make the most
of the summer and the nicer weather

We want to check off our summer
Bucket lists and spend time with the people we
Were too busy to see during the school year
Life feels peaceful and frantic

There is a sense of urgency to
Get it all in
And time moves so fast

We must swim
And see the sun
And do all the things that are hearts
Desired in December

The Dog days of summer
They are called
For a reason

We can do more outside
The weather is warm
The lakes are crowded

And we all want to be
A little more golden
Everyone is happier
It's a slower pace
