Like most kids, I had a dog; well, she was really the family dog. Her name was Suzy, and she was a Boston Terrier. I currently don’t have a dog, but I have a friend with a Havanese. She is a cute bundle of fluff and so affectionate.

The two strongest arguments for getting a dog are unconditional love and company. Furthermore, studies are starting to reveal that having a dog has many other advantages that we were previously unaware of.

Owning a dog can enhance your physical and mental well-being. Your dog will not only encourage you to spend more time outside and increase your activity level, but it will also improve your mood.

Being alone is an awful feeling that can be harmful to your emotional well-being. Depression is more likely to strike someone who is lonely.

Although it’s not exactly the same as having a companion who is human, owning a dog can be almost as enjoyable. Research indicates that having a dog lessens emotions of loneliness and social isolation.
