They are proving it again with the SAVE Act
I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to see people vote against their own interest. I grew up in a red state where rich people convinced poor people to do it all the time. And the other party always had their hands out, but treated politics like a good-ole boys’ club instead of doing anything to incite change.
The only difference between where I live now and then is that there is a bit more blue in North Carolina. A bit. However, the Republican politicians here? They’re willing to do anything it takes to keep their power. That’s some shady shit.
I tried before to send messages and phone calls but it never did anything. And I know now it’s because they want to rule us, not represent us. They don’t care what we actually think.
However, I’ve been hearing people yell and scream that we need to make our congressional representatives know what we want and how we feel. And I agree on a certain level with this. There is a cost for any woman who speaks out. But, I refuse to go…
