Trump is Tired
He’s old and tired. And, it shows
The media is changing the way they cover Trump. More and more, they are fact-checking him and enumerating his multitudinous lies and misinformation. NPR, for example, did an almost line-for-line fact-check of Trump’s August 11th news conference. They found 162 outright lies and distortions in his hour-long ramblings.
Trump is tired. He’s old and tired. And, it shows.
He’s hardly campaigning at all. Formerly, he lived and breathed his campaign rallies — so much so that he continued them even after the Electoral College handed him the presidency in 2016. We’ve endured non-stop campaigning by him ever since.
Honestly, it’s a relief to not have him in our faces every waking minute — his media omnipresence feels less. Trump seems to be fading before our eyes. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not counting him out and gone yet. But as I write this, I find myself taking a moment to sigh in relief. Less of him is good… very goooood.
