The Danger of Kevin McCarthy’s Long-Standing Ambition of Becoming the House Speaker

With the Republican’s majority in the house, the disgraced, single-term, twice impeached, former president’s announcement of a 3rd presidential run, and Kevin McCarthy’s long-standing ambition of becoming the House Speaker, and the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greenes in the house pushing conspiracy theories and bizarre ideas, it is time for a closer look into the future of the Republican Party, and the possible implications of it on our political system.

Now, let’s begin with the Republican potential presidential candidates making their pitch to the Republican Jewish Coalition Convention in Las Vegas this past weekend.

What struck me the most, after watching their convention speeches on YouTube, was how many of them who are standing up there, potentially putting their name out on the ballot for 2024, are complicit with what happened under the Trump administration and complicit with January 6th.

How are they going to run in a primary against Donald Trump and position themselves as being different, better, and less divisive than him?

They were right there.
