Voting For Democracy Is Not An Option, But Our Responsibility

We can’t reap the benefits if we won’t do the work

Democracy is a fragile institution. It’s a beautiful and precious form of government that requires a strong and vigilant defense.

A democratic society can only function upon the shoulders of its citizens, and it is our responsibility to preserve and maintain it. When we fail to stand up for it, we risk losing those things that matter the most.

We risk losing our lives, and the basic and most fundamental freedoms that we take for granted.

There are many ways to take part in democracy, from debates with fellow citizens, engaging with your representatives, and taking part in political activism.

The most obvious and well-recognized method of involvement is through voting. No matter which country you come from, if you have the right to vote, it is absolutely imperative that you do so.

See, democracy is a method of leadership that relies on the people’s voice. The idea is that you, as a citizen, should be well-informed and aware of the problems facing your nation. You should then be able to carefully and critically examine the platforms and solutions presented by…
