Where Have I Been?
And how can I find me again?
I’m sure I’m flattering myself thinking many of you have noticed I have been missing, and especially that it makes any difference, but there are a few of my closest Medium peeps who have reached out to me, so I want to give a shout-out to y’all.
And just to dip my toe back into Medium waters, I figured maybe I should pop back in with a wee little update on how life has been going in Life Melissa in the four months (one day shy, but who’s counting) that have passed since I last published on Medium.
I am sure there have been a lot of changes for all of you as well, though I have slunk in as often as possible to read stories, but at best, you can say that was hit-and-miss.
Our house is “under contract,” and the sale was supposed to be long since closed by now. We moved out, as we were instructed, was absolutely necessary, so we could hand over our home to its new owners.
I didn’t think I could be more upset about selling our home than I already was, but I was working hard to keep a positive attitude. I honestly feel like it can make all the difference in our lives despite how badly I struggle with doing so.
Going around with a woe-is-me chip on our shoulder never really helps, especially not if we have blessings we can focus on instead. I…
