Looking at your calendar and seeing everything you need to do can feel like a punch in the gut.

You might think, “How am I ever going to get through this?” Or maybe you shuffle priorities, telling yourself you’ll eventually get to it. But there’s always that one thing you keep putting off… again and again.

Why?

  • It doesn’t feel important enough.
  • You can’t see any immediate reward.
  • It feels like too much to handle.

I’ve been writing on Medium for a while, always brainstorming catchy headlines to grab people’s attention. At the same time, I’ve been working as a psychotherapist, helping clients tackle issues like procrastination.

Unexpectedly, I found that combining these two — creating short, meaningful phrases like a headline to capture the ‘why’ behind a goal — led to this simple and effective method to achieve your goals. And it might work for you too.
