Would I Rather Run Into a Man or a Bear?

The world really sucks sometimes. Everybody goes through good times and bad times in their lives, and there’s no question that almost nobody truly has it easy.

Whether you’re a man, woman, or non-binary pal, there are parts of life that are unfair.

Some of the challenges we go through can happen to anybody, irrespective of gender. Poverty, awful work-life balance, medical conditions, a rough home life — we’re all human, and we all have human problems.

But there are certain things that tend to happen more often to certain genders, or at least to people who outwardly present a certain way.

If you’ve had your eye on social media over the past week or two, you’ve probably seen an incredibly fierce debate raging over whether women prefer men or bears.

At the risk of getting myself utterly lambasted, skewered and roasted over an open fire, I figured I’d throw my hat in the ring and share my own perspective.

I, like many other women, choose the bear. Let me explain why!

I promise it’s not because I hate all men.
