Once you learn how to leverage your introversion, you’ll never look at it as a weakness.
It’s 14th May 2015, the day of my college farewell.
It’s the last chance I’d get to see the people I spent most of the past four years with. The evening is packed full of music, dance, and fun quizzes.
You might expect I’d be at the center of it all because college days were the best part of my life yet.
But instead, where am I?
Sitting at the back, dressed in a beautiful pink sari I’d handpicked for the occasion. I’m not taking part in the dances or quizzes, nor am I leaving words of wisdom for the juniors.
That evening, ten years back, I sat and watched the proceedings from the back. I had a smile on my face throughout, and sat next to my closest friends. But I didn’t utter a single word on stage.
Some might believe that’s a total waste of a once-in-a-lifetime farewell event. But to me, you couldn’t have planned anything better and more fulfilling.
I got to see my friends dance and sing. I laughed when they laughed, cried when they cried. I left hand-written cards for the people I loved the most. But not once did I get on stage…
