Mobilizing Collaboration: Bounties Network + Status
Bolstering participation on open source projects through full integration with the Status mobile app
As we continue to grow the decentralized ecosystem, we are delighted to announce our full integration with Status. As a decentralized messenger, crypto wallet, and dApp browser, Status offers our community the autonomy to communicate, transact, and explore Ethereum dApps with nothing standing in their way.
What is Status?
Having recently released the beta version–0.9.21, Status is moving one step closer to their goal of delivering the power and promise of the decentralized Web to everyone with an Internet connection.
With the high-level goals of preserving the right to privacy, mitigating the risk of censorship, and promoting economic trade in a transparent, open manner, Status is the ideal partner as we encourage everyone and anyone to join and contribute to open source projects in the Ethereum ecosystem.
In fact, when the founders of the dApp “decided on the name Status, they encoded in it the idea that they were, essentially building a new kind of digital ‘State’ — the State of Us — built for the people and by the people. This ‘State’ would be made up of a borderless community of people who shared the same vision, and it would be driven by a singular guiding principle as its north star: Decentralization.”
As we continue our planning for the BRLNCoin and prepping for the launch of berlin.bounties.network, Status will provide mobile access to the environment for all ETHBerlin attendees.
During the hackathon, a variety of bounties including Onboarding, Community and Voting bounties will be easily accessed on the go through Status to galvanize attendee collaboration and engagement.
One of the key ingredients for the success of collaboration 2.0 is easy access. By integrating with Status we are getting ever closer to that low lift entry point that will enable people far and wide to tap into the pool of global work that the Bounties Network fuels and supports.
