Less than a week away from Prague Blockchain Week and the Bounties team is excited to announce multiple activations across all major events happening in the Ethereum space!

Having spun up community bounty networks across the ETHGlobal event trail all year, we wanted to create an all emcompassing prague.bounties.network to support all the Prague events starting with Winding Tree’s #HackTravel to Status’ #CryptoLife, The Ethereum Magicians Council of Prague as well as Devcon4. There will be many interesting bounties to experiment with and earn ETH or any ERC20 token in the process.

Here is what we have planned for each event:

#HackTravel

The Winding Tree Hackathon is all about hacking the travel industry! There will be over 100 hackers attending and it’s a chance to join a community of open source developers, travel startups, blockchain community leaders, technology visionaries and fellow industry innovators coming together to take tangible steps towards moving the industry forward and promoting open innovation in travel.

The prague.bounties.network is all about broadening the use of bounties across use cases and instances so with #HackTravel we will be diving into bounties such as:

1. Bounties for peer review, feedback, technical help, brainstorming, etc.

2. Community panel bounties: jump from the audience onto panels by submitting questions and those people actually actually joining the panels get the bounty.

3. GitHub engagement bounties: Comments on Hackathon challenges: https://github.com/windingtree/wt-labs/issues

4. Onboarding bounties for Status download and joining the Winding Tree chat https://get.status.im/chat/public/winding-tree

5. Feedback bounties on the hackathon itself, challenges, platform/API, documentation, etc. — anyone submitting gets a bounty!

The Hive of Ideas at #CryptoLife

We will be putting the power of open source to work to help identify future ideas for both technical and non-technical bounties. On the ground floor of the Status hackathon, we will ask you to come up with answers to the question:

“If you could bounty anything in the world, what would it be?”

There will be some inspiration from some familiar faces and we look forward to see what people come up with! The best ones might make it from pen and paper to explorer.bounties.network with funds behind them too!

We will also be up in the Philosopher’s Salon with our Bounties for the Oceans project which will go into its phase one at the end of November, start of December. We are onsite in Manilla from the 29th of November, rewarding individuals for physical cleanups of the Las Pinas Beach and hopefully proving that environmental and social impact can be shifted through bounties from blind trust in centralized organizations to rewarding decentralized, individual proof of action.

#CryptoLife attendees will have the chance to contribute ETH to the cleanup fund and also volunteer to be onsite in the Philippines helping onboard participants with wallets & Bounties Network access.

Devcon4

Having our Prague network and physical installation for the Hive of Ideas accepted at Devcon is pretty much the cherry on the cake when it comes to our community engagement work this year!

Creating a bazaar feel where any idea is bountiable is what we want to achieve by running this engagement. Thinking beyond code or bugs, more creative uses for the bounty as a format could be the ticket to that broader adoption of dApps and cryptocurrencies we want to see in the world.

Rewards will be in ETH or any ERC20 token, including the no monetary but maximum interplanetary value LOVE token, and bounties can be setup and fulfilled using anything you have in your wallet!

We will also have a Hive of Ideas breakout room on the second floor (room 2.3) of the Devcon venue where you will be able to record your answers to “ If you could bounty anything in the world, what would it be?”

Artifaqs Avarice Installation

And because it’s Halloween and we love to get a bit dark, as part of our qollaboration with *a r t i f a q t s*, we invite you into the the Fourth Circle of Crypto Hell, Avarice. Here, sinners who hoarded and spent their cryptocurrency wastefully are unable to escape the swarm of lucrative opportunities that engulfs them, represented in this circle by purple bees with golden stingers.

Reaching for every opportunity that flies their way, the greedy run directionless for all of eternity. Visit us at the DeFi Summit on October 29 to confess your crypto sins and reclaim a part of your soul for a chance to join us in the Ninth Circle of Hell this Halloween!

Blockchain for Good

We are joining Alice, Maker Dao, ConsenSys Social Impact, Giveth, CharityDAO, blockchain4humanity, Ethereum Community Fund and more to discuss our collective challenges in improving UX, overcoming technical obstacles and raising/distributing funds.

We’ll cover the social impact projects we have in production, and how we’re going about scaling them. The talks will be followed by some hands-on workshops where everyone attending can share the challenges they’re facing, and collaborate to tackle them together.

Sign up to attend here.

There’s a lot going on in Prague for us and we hope you’ll join in with the bounty fun and maybe even find some new use cases for the humble yet ever flexible bounty. We will be adding to this list as more details emerge.

See you in Prague and make sure to follow our Twitter for all the fresh bounties going up starting next week! Join our Slack if you have questions or ideas about bounties.

Our thanks to the awesome teams at Winding Tree, Status, Devcon4 and Ethereum Magicians.
