I'm not questioning length (like saying shorter articles are worse than longer articles) but I'm questioning the quality of intent and quality of content in whatever length of article.
If the aim is stated upfront as you say that it has been purposefully published as a short segue to a more complex work, that isn't being said in this article exactly.
Perhaps this article reminded you of that separately as a possible practice but this isn't what he writes about here. This article can easily be misunderstood as a 'quick and low dow' when he writes things like "You only need to master a few basics to write viral articles that will fetch you that early $100 and eventually $1000."
His article is not about promoting quality, even if in shorter length pieces, but it is about just following the system which doesn't promote quality as it is. So I just question the humanity in that. What good does that do for the ecosystem or to each other if we all just lower the bar and accept that?
