The Art of the Figure-Out-Able

Why your future depends less on what you know — and more on how you respond when you don’t

Most people are still taught to value what they know.

  • 👉 Degrees. Credentials. Expertise. Answers.

But in an AI-shaped world, that model is breaking.

The new reality? The question is less: “What do you know?”

And more: 👉 “Can you figure it out when you don’t?”

That’s the real skill. Not just intelligence. But design intelligence. The ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • To think in motion.
  • To learn as you build.

Design intelligence assumes three things:

  • The world is imperfect.
  • You don’t have all the answers.
  • Yet you can still shape something meaningful.

I often refer to this as the Art of the Figure-Out-Able.

It’s not about being clever. It’s about being committed and persistent.

  • To stay in the questions
  • To experiment forward
  • To build something real from an uncertain place
