The Art of the Figure-Out-Able
Why your future depends less on what you know — and more on how you respond when you don’t
Most people are still taught to value what they know.
- 👉 Degrees. Credentials. Expertise. Answers.
But in an AI-shaped world, that model is breaking.
The new reality? The question is less: “What do you know?”
And more: 👉 “Can you figure it out when you don’t?”
That’s the real skill. Not just intelligence. But design intelligence. The ability to navigate ambiguity.
- To think in motion.
- To learn as you build.
Design intelligence assumes three things:
- The world is imperfect.
- You don’t have all the answers.
- Yet you can still shape something meaningful.
I often refer to this as the Art of the Figure-Out-Able.
It’s not about being clever. It’s about being committed and persistent.
- To stay in the questions
- To experiment forward
- To build something real from an uncertain place
