Before starting the New Year’s resolution “war on procrastination,” let’s pause and explore the word for a moment.

The word procrastination comes from Latin:

  • Pro = “forward” plus
  • Cras = “tomorrow”

Thus, procrastination is not as simple as “avoiding things.” It’s about leaving things, sometimes deliberately, until tomorrow.
