Box AI API
The Box AI API will extend Box AI capabilities to power third-party and custom apps. The Box AI API supports Q&A within single and multiple documents, summarization, and text generation. The Box AI API is available to all Enterprise Plus customers and a public beta feature, which means the available capabilities may change. Developer guide
Box AI works in a number of languages including English, Japanese, French, Spanish, and many more. However, the underlying models are primarily trained on English language documents. This means that prompts in other languages may return answers of lower quality than in English. Tests have shown satisfactory results for summarizing, checking grammar and spelling, and answering questions, but bear in mind that the results may be different than in English.
Box AI Developer Zone
Alongside with the Box AI API a new developer documentation demo page was launched. Box AI Dev Zone allows you to explore the Box AI API through rich, interactive experiences. You can view use cases, example prompts and responses, and sample code.
The document summary use case allows you to generate different types of document summaries with various file types.

Box AI for UI Elements
Another new powerful feature is Box AI in the Content Preview UI Element. Thanks to this functionality end users can ask questions of documents directly within custom applications. Check out how to embed the Box Preview UI Element and include the Box AI to your projects.
