Box + Palo Alto Networks: Protecting your sensitive data together
Mitigating data loss and protecting information will always be a top InfoSec and IT concern. Especially in today’s cloud first, mobile first workplace, where businesses are reliant on their extended enterprise to get work done. This environment, while making it easier than ever to be productive, is definitely not easy to properly secure. A 2017 IBM study on security puts the average cost of a data breach at $3.62 million ($7.35 million in the U.S.). So we built security classifications as part of Box Governance, to enable our customers to classify sensitive content and enforce policies to warn and prevent their users from sharing confidential information inappropriately. By partnering with industry-leading CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) vendors, we help our customers scale this even more effectively across their businesses.

The Aperture SaaS security service, Palo Alto Network’s CASB offering, delivers complete visibility and granular enforcement across all user activity within sanctioned enterprise SaaS applications, providing detailed analysis and analytics on usage without requiring any additional hardware, software or network changes. This integration works to help protect data for our joint customers across all industries and geographies.
