Join us in welcoming the Progressly team to Box!

We’re incredibly excited to share that the team from Progressly is joining Box to help businesses create a digital workplace, automate workflow, and transform business process.

When we first started Box 13 years ago, we wanted to change how people accessed information and collaborated on content. Today, nearly every industry is experiencing information-driven transformation in unique ways, and as the amount of data created by businesses continues to grow exponentially, it’s getting harder, costlier, and more time-consuming to make sense of it all. The team from Progressly will allow us to play a bigger role in how Box customers digitize and automate business processes. The team will also work to further empower our customers to use the metadata and intelligence investments we announced last October in new and innovative ways.

To operate in a digital world, organizations can no longer rely on manual processes or legacy applications. Historically, workflow tools have been so complex and costly that only the most business-critical processes have merited the effort and investment needed to automate and track work. As a result, nearly half of employees still spend 50 percent of their time doing manual, repetitive tasks. Easily automating processes is a critical element of cloud content management, enabling content to route seamlessly to both your internal and external teams, helping them get work done faster and more efficiently.

That’s why last November, we launched Box Relay in partnership with IBM, to help companies automate and standardize their structured, repetitive processes, like approving contracts or onboarding new employees. And, we are excited to continue to invest in embedding automation functionality into Box by adding the team from Progressly, in addition to our partner ecosystem of high-end business process management engines like Pega and Nintex.

Nick and the Progressly team are a group of highly talented individuals that have created a world-class product with a vision that is directly aligned with the team here at Box. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome them aboard as we continue to invest in and build technology that allows enterprises to get the most out of their content when it’s in Box!
