We are thrilled to be positioned again as a Visionary in Gartner’s second annual Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms report! — especially on the heels of being recognized by Gartner as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Content Collaboration Platforms a few months ago.

Out with the old [ECM], in with the new [Content Services]

Gartner coined ‘Content Services Platform’ in its retirement of the term ‘Enterprise Content Management” and its related magic quadrant. Gartner notes in “Market Share Analysis: Content Services, Worldwide, 2017” report, “ECM (now called CSP) is still critical for digital business transformation projects that often include digitalization of key business processes, of which content plays an important part. Now, a new set of expectations has emerged for managing the content used in digital workplaces — collaborating on projects and workers with anywhere, any device work styles.” Gartner now looks across both content markets and sees CCP vendors enabling the Digital Workplace and CSP vendors focused on transforming digital operations of organizations as outlined below.

Box powers cloud content management for more than 87,000 businesses around the world, including 69% of the Fortune 500. We deliver content services that enable digital businesses to power intelligent business processes that connect your organization, extended enterprise and customers and a better digital workplace for ad hoc internal and external team collaboration. We are proud that Box is consistently named a leader across the industry analyst community.
