How to swap digital assets using BoxSwap

This article will serve as a step-by-step instruction guide on creating and executing a swap on https://beta.boxswap.io/.
Steps 1–3 are for the sender/creator.
Step 4 is for the person receiving the offer.

Intro

Built on 0x Protocol and the Ethereum network; BoxSwap is a safe and easy way to trade digital assets peer-to-peer. It is a decentralized platform that eliminates the risk of scams in off-market exchanges as well as allow users to sell NFT’s for more than just ETH.

1. Connect to ETH Network

The first thing you will see when you visit https://beta.boxswap.io/ will be a Metamask notification asking you to allow BoxSwap to connect to your account. This gives permission for the site to view your current account address.

After connecting you will want to hit the “New Swap” button located at either the top right or center left of your screen.

2. Set Terms

Once you have selected “New Swap” you will be guided to the trading screen where you will set the terms of the trade you would like to make. Here you will select the digital assets being swapped; where the asset you want to offer goes under the “Send”, and the asset you want in return you fill out under “Receive”.

After selecting the digital asset that will be swapped, you will create and sign the order.

3. Share

Once you have created and signed the order; you will be guided to a page that outlines the swap for the recipient of the swap.

Here, you will hit “Share” and be given two links, we are focusing on the bottom and more concise link.

You are going to copy the link, then send it to whomever you wish to fill the order.

This is where the senders side of the swap is complete.

4. Fill

Once the recipient opens the link, they will be guided to the same page you saw before but they will have the option to “Fill” the order.

After clicking fill you will be asked to approve the NFT for trading, which costs gas to complete. Once that is done, you will then have to send another transaction but this time to actually fill the order.

When you finish approving and filling the order, the swap is complete! You will be given an Etherscan link of the actual transaction on the Blockchain.
