Quai Link partners with Dominant Strategies for the launch of .quai domains on the Quai Network

Bproto Labs, experts on Web3 infrastructure and builders of Quai Link, has partnered with Dominant Strategies(builders of Quai Network) to build a decentralized DNS on Quai Network. This protocol will grant numerous benefits to Quai users. The main one being an enhanced user experience with much less friction when using the chain. It is also important to note that this DNS is nothing like the ones you have seen before on Ethereum, Polygon or other networks, thanks to the following features:

Easy publishing

.quai domains will be Cortex Press enabled which means that for the first time, blockchain based domains will not be some useless item that sits in your wallet. Quai Link domains will allow you to publish seamlessly to a Web3 environment with an incredibly simple user interface. That’s right, decentralized publishing will be available for your domains.

ICANN gateway

Blockchain domains regularly face the obstacle of not being supported by regular browsers which defeats their purpose and limits their utility. Domains on Quai will not suffer from this problem as at Bproto Labs, we have developed a gateway that allows you to browse .quai domains by just adding .link at the end. This means that if you have “johndoe.quai”, you would type in the search bar “johndoe.quai.link”. This of course is temporary while we are working to get Bproto-made domains integrated by browsers.

ENS integration

Having a domain for every chain does not make any sense at all which is why we want you to take your .quai domain everywhere you go. When you purchase your domain, you will automatically be able to claim that same domain on ENS for free! “johndoe.quai.link” will be available to claim on ENS and used on different services and dApps like Metamask.

Those who have been following the blockchain industry for a while will be familiar with the cost of widespread decentralized domains like Unstoppable or others. The price of a .nft or .eth domain at this point is almost insulting which is why we have decided to have a completely different approach. Our goal is that everyone using the blockchain can afford and use their own domain on a daily basis. This is why the starting price of .quai domains will be $20 for the first month and will gradually increase after with a maximum of $40. We do this so that buyers soon after launch can benefit from being an early bird.
