BFLY: Polygon + SushiSwap

Now that BFLY is on Polygon how do you use it? And how can you get BFLY using SushiSwap on Polygon? That’s what we will cover in this article.

Adding Polygon to MetaMask

The easiest way to get started with Polygon is to use Chainlist to add it as a network to MetaMask. Once on Chainlist you search for “Polygon Mainnet” and click “Connect Wallet” under the option for Polygon.

Moving BFLY and getting Matic

If you want to move BFLY you have on Ethereum to Polygon there is a handy bridge available at https://wallet.polygon.technology/bridge which works for BFLY and many other tokens. Polygon uses the MATIC token instead of ETH and you will need some to pay for transactions. Unlike Ethereum though gas on Polygon is very cheap! One MATIC token is less than $2 (at time or writing) and will cover around 1k transactions. The bridge also has several ways to purchase some MATIC and get you going.

Trading some BFLY on SushiSwap

When you goto the SushiSwap app using the link here it should fill in BFLY for you as the “Swap To” currency. If it doesn’t you can set the contract address to 0x5B0a0CD03e9Df1829E00128ebE277Cc3247da346. The logo isn’t showing up yet since the token is new on Polygon but that will be fixed soon.

Besides the contract address the other important part is making sure you are on the Polygon network. In SushiSwap the network is selected in the top right, just to the left of your wallet address.

Thats it! You are ready to trade for a fraction of the fees and get some BFLY.
