An iPad app for real-time team collaboration and creativity.
Today we’re launching Pixelboard, a new peer-to-peer whiteboarding app for iPad.
As a largely distributed company, we constantly run into the same problem during conference calls, design reviews, and meetings: We need a “virtual” whiteboard to explore ideas together.
We built Pixelboard to solve this problem.
The app lets you collaborate with up to nine other people in whiteboarding sessions. Hosting a session requires that UPnP or NAT-PMP is enabled on your router. If you’re invited to a session, all you need is the app and an internet connection to join.
In each session, your group gets three different boards for exploring concepts and brainstorming your way to a breakthrough.
Use the Marker tool to illustrate ideas in a variety of colors and stroke widths. You can draw with your finger or use your Apple Pencil.
When you want to point something out to your team, switch over to the animated Gesture tool. With beautiful disappearing ink that trails behind your motions, it is easy for others to see what you’re pointing to without cluttering the board.
This release is just the start. We’re currently working on easier ways to connect, more powerful features, and better performance.
You can download Pixelboard on the App Store and try it free for 14 days.
To celebrate Pixelboard’s release, we’re offering 50 percent off the original price. For a limited time, purchase Pixelboard Pro for $9.99!
