I Completed the Dog Days of Summer Concept2 Challenge 4 Months After Labour
Yee haw. I did it! I completed the Dog Days of Summer Concept2 challenge 4 months after giving birth. This time last year, I had just finished the 2022 Dog Days of Summer Concept2 challenge and had also found out I was pregnant.
It’s certainly been hard getting the meters in, as I’m exclusively breastfeeding too, and I’ve had to repeatedly stop my workout to feed Grace, but with a motivating mindset, we nourishing loving mothers can accomplish anything. I love intensive workouts.
I bled heavily for eight weeks after birth so couldn’t do much, except a bit of weeding at my allotment, and I’ve just started my period again after 17 weeks.
What’s The Dog Days of Summer Challenge?
The challenge requires the rower to complete 10,000 meters in week 1 of August, 20,000 meters in week 2 of August, 30,000 meters in week 3 of August, and 40,000 meters in week 4 of August, totalling 100,000 in 28 days.
What has this challenge shown me? I really enjoy rowing. It’s never easy, because you can go as intense as you want to be. It’s a fab all over body workout, helps to trim the arms, back, legs and bum, and burns tons of calories.
So lovely moms, what have you accomplished post birth? Please share your stories in the comments section.
