In August, Brahma OS has made some progress in the development of technology as well as operation. In this report we will present you our progress and latest news in August. Let’s start with the technical progress.

1. Technical Progress August 24th — August 31st

This part will be focusing on the technical progress of the past week. For previous technical progress please follow BrahmaLabs on Medium to know more about our development.

Brahma OS

  • Completed the function of uploading files from the file manager of Brahma OS to IPFS. Through testing we found that there is a size limitation for uploading one single file. We will continue to solve this problem.
  • Added a public interface to encrypt and decrypt files through the public and private keys of the Brahma OS account. The team is working on the problem that Bouncy Castle in the android source does not support ECIE for encryption and decryption.
  • The OTA client APP code is upgraded. After the updated version is released, you can download the differential package through the OTA server to complete the online upgrade.
  • Determined which files are required to release Brahma OS and the directory structure stored on the server.

Brahma Wallet

  • Optimized the account list page, the asset page, and the details page.
  • Added feedback function.

Brahma Official Website

  • Designed the PC version of the Products page and the About page
  • Designed the mobile phone version of the official website

In this month we have also shared some videos about the blockchain technology made by our technical team.

Let’s Learn about Brahma Chain from KJ

First, KJ, the researcher who works on the Brahma Chain, made special videos to explain Brahma Chain. For more detailed information, please read

Improve Blockchain Performance using Graph Data Structure and Parallel Mining

KJ was invited by Peking University Shenzhen Research Institute to participate in the 2018 Future Network and Blockchain Forum and IEEE HotlCN2018 International Conference in Shenzhen. We uploaded his video on our channel.

KJ shared his ideas that:

1. “GraphChain” is a way to change the original chain structure to a graph structure, which can greatly improve the efficiency of the blockchain system.

2. Election and multi-mining mode can improve the utilization of blockchain resources.

3. The combination of high-performance graph data structure and parallel mining algorithm is expected to greatly improve blockchain performance.
