We at btov Partners are hiring an intern to join our office in Berlin. Founded as brains to ventures in 2000, is a European venture capital firm, managing institutional funds, partner funds and direct investments of private investors. With investment teams in Digital and Industrial Tech, btov invests >EUR 50m per year in high growth companies with ticket sizes from EUR 0.25m to 3.5m. With offices in Berlin, Munich and St. Gallen, the firm has more than EUR 500m in assets under management. We have backed 100+ companies around the globe including dataArtisans, DeepL, foodspring, Raisin, SevenSenders, SumUp and Volocopter.

• Team: Digital Tech Fund
• Start date: anytime from October 2021 onwards
• Duration: the longer the better, but at least 3 months
• Workplace: our Berlin office (find a office tour here and some pictures below), you are free to regularly spend time in our other offices in Munich, St.Gallen or Luxembourg and to work from home

Your Role 🚀

• Active deal sourcing and screening of new investment opportunities, presentation to the team
• Preparation of industry research in order to form new investment hypotheses
• Support of our team in the investment process (business identification, evaluation and due diligence activities)
• Support of portfolio companies, participation in company meetings and presence at events

Your Profile 💪

• You have completed the fourth semester of your studies in business, economics, computer science, or with a technical background and achieved outstanding academic results
• Previous experience in a start-up, or other high-performance environments helps
• Passion for entrepreneurship and solid understanding of digital business models
• You are team-oriented, motivated, committed, proactive and capable to work independently
• Insatiable curios — there are no limits to what you can do in VC 🦾
• Fluent spoken and written German and English
• The usual software skills you need to survive in the startup world 🙂

• Secondly, you will meet a few people from our investment team via Zoom and complete a personal profile test and a case study
• Thirdly, we will invite you to our Berlin office so you can meet everyone in person and see where you will be working
