Whether you’re a small shop or a Fortune level company, there are things you should be doing with your business to keep up with the times. Modern business moves faster than ever before, and without the tools to be agile, you can easily find yourself behind in the dust. Here are a few things every company should be doing:

Get on Social Media

If your company does not have a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account in 2019, there’s a very good chance you’re leaving money on the table. With all three platforms being free to get started on, there’s no excuse for your business to not have a presence. For all of it’s drama on a personal level, on a professional level there are few avenues which give you the reach and exposure of social media. With a good social media strategy and a conservative ad budget, you can easily extend into new markets beyond what a basic website will give you. Also, there are a myriad of social media management tools to make pushing content to all of your social media platforms less time consuming and more effective. Do yourself a favor and get yourself business accounts today!

Have Modern Website

It’s not just enough to have any website these days. Sure it’s better than nothing, however more and more people access the web through mobile devices than ever before. A poorly optimized site is enough to frustrate potential customers from using your service. In particular customers are wary of outdated websites. If you can’t be bothered to have a modern website, what other things is the company willing to drop the ball on? Customer service? Order fulfillment? Scams? Do yourself a favor and get a modern website. There are plenty of great plug and play vendors at affordable prices to make creating and managing your website as streamlined as possible with hundreds of integrations to help your business thrive. Although, if you require more advanced features, or are migrating a complex website over to a new site, I recommend drafting a developer to help realize the full potential of your online presence.

Get Blogging

If you’re not writing or recording content about what your company does and/or is doing, your competitor who is will have no trouble ranking higher and directing more traffic to their business. It’s human nature for us to want to connect with the things around us. Keep the world updated about what you’re up to, give your customers something to get excited about and most of all remind them there’s a story to your company’s journey. If you offer services, be sure you’re sharing your expertise to validate what you’re doing. Having ways for people to interact with your business in more than just a transactional way will pay dividends to your company’s success.

While this is in no way a complete list, getting these three items pumping on all cylinders is a great way to bolster the hard work you do and more!
