According to the CEO Top 50 Brands Nigeria, Taiwo Oluboyede, that 50% of the Top 50 Brands for 017 are home grown brands, is an indication of an improvement in performance among them, especially in the face of the Recession.

“This is the highest we have had since 2013. This shows an improvement in performance among homegrown brands, particularly in the midst of a troubling recession which the country just got out from”, he said, noting that many of these homegrown brands have spread to other African countries.

Top 50 Brands Nigeria, a product of APT Brand Int’l Ltd, is an annual rating of brands in Nigeria based on a Brand Strength Measurement(BSM) model that includes such parameters as brand identity/retention, online engagement, quality element, market/category leadership, innovation, national spread and CSR/environment consciousness.
