Solv, a brand new look for Gojek’s logo was revealed last July. Rebranding is made as the company entering the next phase of growth with focus on more innovation and more than 20 services integration inside their app.

The new look brings a significant change to the brand language. Going back to 2015 when Gojek made its first app launch in public, the logo symbolized integration between ojek (traditional motor taxis) and internet (That’s why a wifi symbol was place above the taxi driver). As their services escalates, designers totally run out of colors and find it hard to attribute this logo into more diverse products.

Meet Solv, the symbol for solutions of everyday challenges with technology. Everyone could define this logo into anything they care about. Some people see it as a power button. It resonates company core mission to bring hassle-free lifestyle that empower productivity for Indonesian. Some people perceive it as a search icon — could search for anything you need with Gojek. It also looks like a map pin — just like their slogan there’s always a way. And more importantly, it also look like the head of drivers, the heroes behind this super app.

Solv is simple, unique yet having a very deep brand message. Gojek always does a great job in delivering their company mission and make customers believe that’s where they’re heading too.
