Introducing the Brapp HD series and Brapp Records
Today we’re extremely excited to announce the launch of our Brapp HD series of music videos on our YouTube channel and our record label, Brapp Records.
Early this year, we teamed up with our good friend and director Above Ground to start filming the Brapp HD series. Just like the app, the videos feature one-take performances over a beat, and are beautifully shot in 4K ultra widescreen in unique locations around the world. So far we’ve filmed over 50 artists–several of whom we discovered through the app–in the UK, USA, Japan, India, Spain and Iceland…and we’re just getting started.
Through Brapp Records we’ve developed a unique model with the aim to generate both exposure and revenue for artists by releasing the audio from the Brapp HD performances through our extensive global distribution network (400+ digital music retailers across 240 countries).
We launch the series with two dope videos from opposite sides of the pond. The first track is ‘Trafalgar Square’ by the critically acclaimed Mikill Pane, produced by Loudmouth Melvin and filmed on the streets of London. Next up is Dominican-born rapper raised in Hell’s Kitchen NY, FRAZE, with the track ‘El Arrival’, produced by London’s LRD and filmed on the rooftops of Manhattan.
