We are delighted to announce the launch of Innovation Masterminds Edmonton (or imYEG), a collective initiative between Brass Dome Ventures Ltd. and the University of Alberta. imYEG is a new industry-led accelerator program designed to support and mentor University-based innovators in their path towards commercialization.

imYEG is a free-of-charge program open to University of Alberta-based innovators, with the goal of expanding its offerings to other post-secondary institutions in Edmonton. We support innovators right from the inception of their idea or discovery, providing them with assessment and mentorship to advance innovative ideas to the market. imYEG provides innovators with access to the Council of Founders, which is made up of industry leaders from diverse sectors who volunteer their time to support the acceleration of innovative ideas.

As a successful entrepreneur, I see the significant potential of University of Alberta research developed innovations; and as an active and committed member of the local business community, I want to see Alberta benefit from the success that is possible when entrepreneurs are given the tools to thrive. Through imYEG, my fellow business leaders and I can help bridge academia and industry, providing university innovators with the knowledge and support to bring their ideas to commercial fruition.

— Christopher G. Micetich, CEO of Brass Dome Ventures Ltd. and imYEG Founding Partner
