Armando Pantoja explaining blockchain technology to Rock in Rio Innovation Week crowd

This past week we had the pleasure of receiving our US Co-Founder Armando Pantoja in Lisbon, Portugal to introduce Bravuz HireMatch to the European Market. He spoke at Rock in Rio Innovation Week and we also hosted him at our European Office for an event called The Latest in Tech.

Originally the idea to build a blockchain-recruitment platform came to Armando Pantoja when he was in the middle of a painful recruitment process.

“A few years back when I was looking to transition into a new opportunity, I was frustrated with the state of recruiting. Interviews were inefficient, redundant and time consuming on both sides, ” he explained.

As an engineer, he decided to apply technology to the problem and saw the potential that blockchain tech held in creating a simple solution to the recruitment woes. With the vision to disrupt the current HR Industry he started building BravuzHireMatch, which is now the 1st Blockchain-based Employee-Recruitment Platform in Europe.

Next comes the question — How does blockchain solve the challenges in talent acquisition?

Armando explaining blockchain tech at the Rock in Rio Innovation Week Conference

Blockchain is supported by hundreds of thousands of computer and devices connected to the its network , these machines are called Miners, who’s owner receives fees to help verify transactions as they come through the blockchain network, ” explained Armando at Rock in Rio Innovation Week in Lisbon, Portugal.

These miners will be incentivized with HIRE tokens (our own cryptocurrency within the platform) to search, recruit and hire the best candidates for each job posting. They can be humans or smart machines and will be able to harness the power of their individual networks where there is an untapped pool of potential candidates.

What Armando also wanted to point out is that the Bravuz HireMatch platform will be especially useful for acquiring millennial hires as they are found to be not only the most challenging generation to recruit but will also make up 60% of the workforce by 2020.

“Imagine how easy a network of miners could find those millennials where they live and play online, slicing through the noise, getting their attention and pinpointing them at the perfect time they are looking for a new career option.”

Another fantastic feature of blockchain are smart contracts. A smart contract is blockchain code that is intended to facilitate, verify, or enforce the performance of a contract all automatically.

It is estimated that smart contracts will be in use by more than 25% of global organizations by 2022.

With the vision of using blockchain to create a faster, more-cost efficient and accurate talent acquisition process- Bravuz HireMatch was born.

Where does Bravuz come into the picture?

Eduardo Marquez is the CEO of Bravuz which is a growth hacking consultancy that works with high potential tech startups to grow in the European market. In getting to know Armando’s team and the HireMatch Platform, Eduardo saw the potential that blockchain held in the European Market, which is especially open to utilizing innovative technologies to improve processes.

“The potential of blockchain is undeniable,” said Co-Founder Eduardo Marquez when approach by reporters. “we are pleased to bring it to the recruitment industry in Europe, contributing towards smarter and more efficient recruitment processes, as well as relevant acquisitions, which are of the utmost importance in an increasingly competitive market.”

Essentially, Bravuz HireMatch is a joint-venture between HireMatch and Bravuz and as a European partner, Bravuz is supporting operations through marketing, PR and expansion to the European Market. Bravuz is also working on the development of the platform and reaching it’s full potential.

In closing, both Eduardo and Armando believe that blockchain is going to revolutionize the talent acquisition industry and create a platform that is transparent, cost-effective and intuitive- adapting to the changing needs of both employers and candidates in the industry.

“Through blockchain technology, we are on the path to change talent acquisition forever and provide solutions to these problems, ” Armand Pantoja co-founder Bravuz HireMatch.
