We are thrilled to announce Bread & Butter Ventures’ investment in Ducky, an innovative startup that is revolutionizing the customer support landscape by harnessing the power of generative AI. As Ducky emerges from stealth mode, we couldn’t be more excited to partner with them on this journey.

From the moment we met the founders, Hongbo and James, we were deeply compelled by their complementary backgrounds and the synergy of their partnership. Hongbo’s extensive experience in AI and machine learning including his work at Scale AI, combined with James’ business development and SaaS expertise, creates a formidable team that is uniquely positioned to build Ducky.

What sets the team apart even further is their user-first approach to product design. We’ve been impressed from day one by their dedication to customer discovery — it’s allowed them to deeply understand the pain points and needs of support agents. Now, Hongbo and James have built a solution that seamlessly integrates with existing tools like Slack, Notion, and JIRA, making it easy for teams to adopt and realize immediate value. Ducky’s AI-powered technology searches through disparate knowledge sources, automatically surfacing the most relevant answers and enabling agents to respond to customers quickly and accurately.

In an era where automation tech has been the dominant trend, Ducky stands out by putting humans at the center of their approach. Rather than aiming to replace support agents, Ducky empowers them to be more productive, reduces frustration and burnout, and ultimately enables them to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

We believe that Ducky’s focus on human-centered customer support and their unique application of generative AI gives them a compelling edge. By addressing a critical pain point for businesses of all sizes, Ducky has the potential to become a universal tool for support teams worldwide.

We are honored to participate in this funding round alongside an aligned group of investors including lead investor Penny Jar Capital, NOMO Ventures, and others who share our conviction in Ducky’s vision and potential.

As Ducky continues to grow, we at Bread and Butter Ventures are committed to supporting Hongbo, James, and the entire Ducky team every step of the way. We firmly believe that their passion, expertise, and dedication to empowering customer support teams will differentiate them and we are excited to be part of their journey.
