I’d be a bad, bad fan if I didn’t at least acknowledge the 34th anniversary of the classic 1978 show at the Agora in Cleveland, OH.
It’s one of those unquestionable classic bootlegs, from an unquestionably brilliant era. The 1978 shows have the great fortune of being not only legendary and career-making, but also shockingly well documented. So many radio broadcasts, and even a few filmed shows, makes for an embarassment of riches.
As I’ve already documented, I’m more of a Roxy guy myself. But it’s hard to argue with the greatness of any of these amazing shows — Roxy, Agora, Pasaic, Winterland.
Agora does have the virtue of maybe the greatest “Backstreets” of all time. See above.
