This week we go a bit more on the hardware side, with two big launches. But also news about live on various platforms and the closing of Vine. Let’s go!

Microsoft Launch: So there was a big launch event from Microsoft. They launched a bunch of new features and hardware. Here are the most important ones.

Apple Launch: So a couple of days after the Microsoft launch, Apple setup to launch their new flagship Macbook Pro. It looks great! They added a touchbar and removed USB ports, HDMI, card reader and more stuff people tend use a lot. The headphone mini-jack is still there though. See all about the new Macbook Pro below, and let’s see if Apple once again can be the firstmover and set the standard.

Vine is closing: Twitter has decided to discontinue Vine. There are a few theories on why, but the social video market is very tough at the moment, and people may have started jumping to Snap, Youtube and Instagram. Read more here. The internet will miss Vine, and especially absolutely brilliant 6 second loops like this legendary Vine-post (remember sound).

Facebook Live: Facebook has updated their live video-format. Verified pages now have the possibility of scheduling a live broadcast, making it easier to build anticipation by letting end users opt-in for a notification just before the broadcast airs. Learn how to do it here.

Instagram Live: It looks like Instagram is testing live video. It features a Go Insta! button in the camera interface, as well as a Live icon within the Instagram stories. Check it out here.

Halloween on Facebook: Facebook are going big on halloween. Special reactions and Snapchat-like masks on live broadcasts. Check it out here.

Facebook on your TV: Facebooks new SDK for TV apps lets you connect to your TV in a few taps. Seems like Facebook is moving on to the bigger screen.
