Jeanine Tesori, Annie Baker, Charles Fuller More To Be Honored at Dramatists Guild Awards Tonight

The Dramatists Guild of America will be holding its annual award ceremony tonight, February 23, at The Harvard Club with David Henry Hwang as host.

Several playwrights and composers will be honored this year: Annie Baker (Hull-Warriner Award for The Flick), Jeanine Tesori (Frederick Loewe Award for Dramatic Composition for her score to Fun Home), and Charles Fuller (Flora Roberts Award), Chisa Hutchinson (Lanford Wilson Award) and A.R. Gurney (Dramatists Guild Lifetime Achievement Award).

The Dramatists Legal Defense Fund will also present the second DLDF Defender Award to Howard Sherman, a “staunch advocate for free expression who writes extensively about intellectual and creative freedom,” according to press notes.

Presenters include Terrence McNally, Amanda Green, Tina Howe, Michael Lew, J.T. Rogers and Itamar Moses.
