Two dollars per day. That’s what a story must earn, averaged over a 30-day period, to fit into your $1,000 base pay plan. It sounds pretty easy, and sometimes it is. The hard part is doing it story after story.

In case you haven’t been following along, I’ve put together a DIY base pay plan for writing on Medium. You can start with the $200 plan, the $500 plan, or the $1,000 plan. If you’re currently earning under $100 per month, you probably should start with the $200 plan, but the whole point is for you to do you.

The $200 plan starts with learning to write $15 stories. I firmly believe once you have mastered that skill, there are few limits to how much you can earn on a platform like Medium.
