When we began the Breakout Labs experiment almost three years ago, we opened our arms as wide as possible to companies at the cutting edge of scientific innovation.

Over time, we’ve begun to refine our criteria to reflect the companies for which we feel we can add the most value. We have recently decided that, going forward, we will only support companies in the United States.

Although great science is not restricted by national boundaries, as we build a program that adds velocity to our companies and enhances their changes of success, we find that doing so within a U.S.-based context makes the most sense right now.
