Let me introduce you to a new way to cope with stress, anxiety, and burnout. A way that will allow you to take care of yourself and feel better with the help of artificial intelligence breathhh.app

I won’t be biased if I say that the problem of stress and anxiety in the workplace is familiar to almost everyone. However, we are much more familiar with the symptoms-consequences in the form of emotional instability, muscle tension, weakness, insomnia, procrastination, and general cognitive decline.

The World Health Organization considers stress to be a modern epidemic. The reports we are seeing from leading research centers are very disappointing.

Here are some statistics:

  • Stress level increases from year to year (Times: American Psychology Association Report)
  • Almost half of the employees say that they need help to cope with stress (The American Institute of Stress)
  • About 40% believe that constant stress and excessive anxiety are a normal part of life (Anxiety & Depression Association of America)
  • About 28% of employees experience burnout very often or always (Gallup)
  • Using a computer for more than 75% of the working time significantly increases the chances of developing depressive and anxiety disorders (AOEM)

The history of the Breathhh service starts at the beginning of 2021 when I conducted in-depth interviews with completely different people working at a personal computer most of the time. They were accountants, IT specialists, consulting staff, as well as people with bipolar, anxiety, depression, and other disorders.

Of course, the methods of dealing with stress, anxiety, and burnout differed and were individual: someone prefers walking near the office, someone prefers psychotherapy, someone prefers meditation, and someone prefers video games, alcohol, or cigarettes. It should be understood that there is no magic pill for stress and anxiety. This is a complex and primarily scientific challenge.

The main discovery was the fact that many people would like to be able to “ground themselves” from time to time — to pay attention to themselves and their bodies. This requires a habit, but the development of any useful habit is very resource intensive.

Breathhh Browser Extension

Our goal is to create a convenient and effective way to take care of mental and physical well–being. It is just as necessary as brushing your teeth in the morning and evening. And here’s how we’ll do it:

  • Artificial intelligence. Based on the aggregation of numerous events and factors, useful practices will be displayed at the appropriate time.
  • Seamless user experience. Through the integration, the availability of use will be increased. Practices should be available in a user-friendly environment. It can be anything — a browser extension, a bot for a corporate messenger, a smartwatch application, or even something in a metaverse (who knows how far it will go).
  • Scientific and evidence-based approach. During design and development, the focus will be on tools and functions with proven effectiveness. Also, special attention will be paid to the search for insights for the user.

We clearly understand that this is just the beginning of a long journey and there will be many more interesting things to come. We will be happy to share our knowledge and thoughts as we move forward.
