Summer is here and we’re all looking forward to taking a dip! But we’ve all seen images of sea life caught up in plastic, here are 5 beer brands trailblazing environmentally!

  1. Saltwater Brewery — Eco Cans and Charity Donations

Located on Delray beach, Florida it’s no wonder this team are focusing on keeping the ocean plastic free. They use fully biodegradable can rings and donate proceeds to a variety of marine charities. Check them out here.

2. The Beer Company — Donations to Project Biodiversity

Their sea turtle range directly funds sea turtle conservation in Cape Verde, you can buy the beer and support the cause here.

3. Corona — Fit Packs

Corona are trialling this innovative concept first in their Mexican market. They have made their product the packaging, eradicating the need for additional plastic. They’re opening this idea up to the industry in something they call open source innovation. Nice!

4. Carlsberg — Snap Packs

Another genius concept to save the oceans from plastic. Carlsberg packs will now be fused together with a drop of glue which will then snap off when pulled.

5. Good Beer Co, Marine Charity

The Good Beer Co. is a social enterprise beer company. It exists to brew and sell beer to raise funds and awareness for good causes. 10% of sales of their Great Barrier Beer goes to the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
