The Milwaukee Brewers announced their Minor League affiliates coaching staffs for the 2017 season today.

Rick Sweet will return to manage the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox for the third straight season. He will be joined by Pitching Coach Fred Dabney, Athletic Trainer Aaron Hoback and Strength and Conditioning Specialist Andrew Emmick, who are all returning. Al LeBoeuf and Ned Yost IV will join the team as coaches. Yost spent the previous five seasons in the same position with the Brewers Class-A Florida State League affiliate, while LeBoeuf served in the same role at Class-A Wisconsin last season.

The Double-A Biloxi Shuckers will once again be led by Manager Mike Guerrero. He will be flanked by Pitching Coach Chris Hook, Coach Sandy Guerrero and Strength and Conditioning Specialist Nate Dine, who are all returning. The Shuckers will have a new athletic trainer, Kevan Creighton, who joins the team after spending the last three years as an assistant with the Major League club. Coach Chuckie Caufield will also join the team after spending the last year as a coach at the team’s Class-A affiliate in Wisconsin.

Joe Ayrault will head to the Brewers new Class-A affiliate, the Carolina Mudcats. He returns for his sixth season as manager of the team’s Class-A affiliate (which switches this year from Brevard County) and is joined by returnees Pitching Coach David Chavarria, Coach Edwin Maysonet and Strength and Conditioning Specialist Jonah Mergen. Dave Joppie joins the organization as a coach after spending 10 years in the Boston Red Sox organization.

Pitching Coach Steve Cline will head to the Midwest League after spending the last 16 years in the same role with Rookie Arizona. He is joined by Coach Hainley Statia, who held the same role with the Arizona Brewers last season.

For the second straight year, the Helena Brewers will be led by Manager Nestor Corredor. He is joined by Pitching Coach Mark Dewey, who also serves as the Brewers assistant pitching coordinator, and Coach Liu Rodriguez. Both coaches are returning. Pitching Coach Rolando Valles returns to the team in the same role that he filled for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Jeff Bodenhamer will return as the team’s athletic trainer, while Alistair Matthews returns to round out the staff as the team’s strength and conditioning specialist.

Rafael Neda will make his managerial debut with the Arizona League Brewers this summer. He will be joined by Coach Tony Diggs, who managed the team last season and from 2008–12, as well as Brenton Del Chiaro, who joins the organization this year. Del Chiaro spent the last nine years in a similar role in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim organization. Nat Ballenberg will serve as the team’s Pitching Coach. Matt Deal returns as the athletic trainer, while Juan Rodriguez will serve in his first year as the team’s strength and conditioning specialist.

Victor Estevez will return as manager of the DSL Brewers in 2017. Luis de los Santos and Jose Pena return as coaches for the team. Alcides Melendez will join the team as a coach after previously serving in the organization as a Latin America scout.
