I Went to My First Protest

My small-town community showed up for Black lives

I live in a small, mostly white, upper middle class town in Michigan.

My mom, younger brother, and I walked from our post office to the town park. My jaw dropped. I did not expect to see so many people masked up and ready to march for black lives.
