The Announcement
A story in under 200 words
“I have an announcement to make,” he hops up on the lunchroom table and uses his hands to make his own bullhorn.
Everyone stops and looks. A few people laugh. An eery silence surrounds the whole room.
He gives them a wide-eyed grin as he searches the faces. A few teachers scramble from their own table on the far side of the room.
