Apple’s Far Out Event Wasn’t That Far Out…

Apple’s Far Out event came and went, just like everything else in life, apart from ineptitude, taxes, and death. These three keep following us like monkeys a banana truck after deforestation. Loaded sentence, I know. Take a minute to take it all in. It’s more than just humorous, it’s also sad. But I digress. Where I wanted to get was in fact Apple’s latest event, which, as usual, repeatedly highlighted how carbon-neutral the company and the devices they’ve just launched are. We get it, Apple, you recycle as much as you can — hopefully — but at this point that’s an expectation, not a selling point. Which leads me to actual selling-points, which — if I must use a single word to describe — were all “relative”, and in more than one sense of the word. 😉

The rumours were so spot on, there was barely anything left to raise an eyebrow to…

And that really is true. For those, like myself, who followed semi-religiously all the rumours leading up to the event, there wasn’t a whole lot left to be surprised by. For us, it was a different event, and it has been for many years. For us, the tagline is always more along the lines of “The Rumour…
