LEGO invests millions to find out just that, and lure the Twi-hards out of hiding…
Or maybe young adult vampire stories are timeless, and the moment LEGO releases a Twilight set, they’ll all come out of their hiding, grab a box like hot cakes, only to run back away from sunlight, never to be heard of again, leaving the Danish toymaker with unprecedented profits and empty shelves. That’s probably the cynical interpretation of The LEGO Group’s thinking behind the release of The Cullen House.
Regardless of which camp you find yourself in — be that the pasty-looking Edward or the tanned Jacob with his Jesus hair — there is one thing even the most ardent Twilight deniers will admit: generally speaking Bella Swan was kind of cool and Kristen Stewart did a decent job taking on her role, though I liked her more in Clouds of Sils Maria. For me, the entire Twilight Saga — and I do mean the movies, not the books — was a set of five movies that I’d watch the same way I watched Harry Potter. Watched the movies, acknowledged their popularity, and moved on. Turns out, if you’re from Transylvania like me, vampires aren’t that big a deal.
